GP2 and pedals on seperate axis, help

by Mike Kin » Tue, 20 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I am having trouble getting GP2   to use my Nascar Pro wheel set up with
seperate pedals. I have the accel. and braking set to joy1 vert. and joy2
vert. respectively. When I try to calibrate joystick 1 the left and right
work fine, but when I attempt to cal. vert. the red ball only travels from
the middle of the box, to the top. Then I get an error message saying
something about insufficient range. If I fake out joystick 1 and get past
the error message, joystick 2 is not read at all.

Any tips?

Thanks for any info. I couldn't find anything on dejanews.

Try setting braking to "Joystick B Horiz". That's how mine is set up and
it works perfectly.
(I have a Thrustmaster "Formula 1" wheel, which I believe is the
European name for the NASCAR Pro.)

Cheers!

seperate pedals.

1. steering = joy 1 horiz.
2. throttle = joy 2 vert
3. brake = joy 2 horiz.
4.Click "control driven calibration" on menu.

This works for me.  Hope it helps.

I think if you use the T1.con on the CD and when you setup your wheel
ensure you chose "controller driven" for the selection and calibration.

Thanks Steve,
That setup works great. Although I could have sworn that I tried that
earlier this morning. Oh well, maybe it was too early.

Thanks again
