Help ! GP1/CH pedal Dual Axis Problem !

by Jude » Sun, 02 May 1999 04:00:00

HI !

I have GPL and would like to run the sim with seperate axis for the gas and
pedal along with being able to use one lever as a clutch.

I run under Windows 98 and the only way so far the WIndows responds to my
wheel / pedal combo is using the Thrustmaster Formula T1 T2 without the
adaptor.

This only gives me a single axis to operate the gas and pedal and no lever
for a clutch.

Ive gone to Alisons page on how to setup wheels and pedals she recommends to
go custom controller setup in Windows( i will assume its valid for Win 98 as
well) and do it as a race car controller setup as a  4 button 2 axis.

No luck ! I tried 3 and 4 axis just to see if Windows accepts it and still
no go.

I also tried just using the standard 2 axis 4 button joystick in Win98  and
got the same results - nada.

In case ur wondering the CH pedas are the older type with the smaller base
and I have the switch on the base setup as gas pedals - not rudder.
( hmmmmm -I wonder if this would make a difference if I change it to rudder
?)

Anyhow apart from this switch idea - I dont how else to get my pedals to
have seperate axis for GPL.

I used 4-button, 4axis on the TM Nascar Sprint {Custom setup} &
the rudder worked fine for the axis needed but didnt like the driver.
Of course this was just {mpo} Good Luck.. Thom_j. aka ^Fretts..
