Seperate axises vs. same axis for pedals

by Thomas Soerense » Mon, 03 Apr 2000 05:00:00

Hi again

I just found out how to set up my Act Labs Pedals as 2 axis i.e. one for te
acc and one for the brake. what shall I expect from this? It feels like
there is slightly less pure luck involved in the handling of the Ferrari 312
now. Is that true? Should I get better control? Isnt it just that I should
get shorter braking distances now since I now just brake the wheels and
dont have to slow down the engine anymore.

trail barking will be ezier and more effective as you can modulate the
gas and brake at the same time.

Don't know, but I'm sure there are many of us out here who would like to
know how you configured it for two axes. I know I would!!!

Controller panel, Test Input tab (first one you see), check the box that
says "operate pedals seperately".

Thanks for the email Thomas, the information was helpfull.

With separate axis you can almost drive the car in the corners by using the
brake and gas like rudder pedals. You'll be able to recover from more spins.
Also, you can squat the car, lowering the center of gravity, while entering
or exiting a corner by dragging the brake slightly while applying the gas.
