According to a feature at Gamecenter.com, F1RS sold only 12,570 copies in
the U.S.  It is part of a list of the top ten greatest, but poor-selling
games.

Sold about 350,000 worldwide though! Looks like the US has missed out again!

Yeah? And what about the great Superbike World championship from EA
Sports? According to the same article, it only sold 7000+ copies! What a
shame!

Maybe many people in the US did what I did. I ordered the British
version months before the US version was released here. There
are probably many others who did the same.

Well the F1rs rollout here in the States, reminds me of the EF2000 fiasco.
Did we see a bunch of print adds??   Did we ever get a big internet
announcement?
Did we hear on RAS about patch after patch?  Did we ever know when the US
release
was "really" comming?   First time I saw F1rs in a store was in the discount
bin.
There are lots of reasons products don't sell.  some are more clear than
others.

Eh let's see...
350 000 + 12,570 =    362,570.

David, where is those million copy sold of F1RS like you said?

It seems that nobody  talks about MGPRS2 and F1RS anymore here.  Not that I
have anything against that ;-P  <sarcasm>

I can't imagine too many people did that, most would be horrified at
UK software prices anyway! :-)  Even then, if you double the quantity
sold it's still disappointing.

Cheers!

350,000 world wide is not so bad, but one wonders if the game actually made
much money, taking inot account the FIA License cost....

I paid $40 (US) from Ubisoft USA in California. I did not buy it from
Britain. Kind of strange that UBI would do that, but hey :-)

I hate to break it to ya, but, MGPRS2 is about to be released in the US, so
there will be some comments about it when it does come out, most of them
probably dealing with the SBLive problems.

I'm looking forward to those future RS3 vs GP3 threads.

Why are you shouting at me ? And why do you think this is an actual
revelation to my eyes ?

I was talking about the World-Wide sellings that David always said they were
over a million copies. Please re-read my post.

For SBK its probably that there was a lack of interest for a Road Bike racing
game, I baught it the first week it was out and I still love it to death.  Its
just superb.  But personaly I did never like F1RS as it was.  GP2000 (or GP3)
will be the bomb tho.
