PC World are now selling them for 129. I would buy one but I think I'll
wait until someone reviews them first. Unfortunately, from the pictures on
the box, it looks like it retains the same old snappy pedals as the
non-force feedback version.

I just looked at one tonight....what's the issue with the pedals?

That's great that they have made it to the stores. Hope they show up
in the States soon. I really like the pedals after I made a rack that
tips the front up a few inches and keeps them from sliding around, so
I'll be happy if they are moreorless the same. The paddles on the
Nascar Super Sport are pretty nice too, so I hope those are the same
or better on the Force GT.

Thrusty's web site isn't very informative if anyone has info about
what's inside please post it up.

What type of drive does it use? Gear, belt, cable......

Does it use Immersion Corporation's I-Force 2.0 standard?

I've heard it hooks up via USB but it doesn't say so on thier web
page that I can tell.

Does it use pots or optical pickups like the sidewinder?

Traditionally, thrustmaster pedals employ springs that snap every few months
(although they send you replacements free of charge)

The packaging doesn't give too much away but it does say it supports both
the standard joystick connector and USB straight from the box. On the side
of the box is a picture of the wheel with a drawing representing two
coloured discs but that could mean anything!

The drive mechanism uses gears and belts.
The connection is both RS232 and USB
It uses IForce 2.0
It uses pots which are converted to digital signals through the electronics.
The pedals are the modified Pro pedals with the pedal arms moved towards the
front about 19mm and tilted back about 14 degrees.

Hope this helps
