Thrustmaster Prodigital2 -- help

by pjs.. » Sun, 28 Jan 2001 02:07:11

I read the recent postings on getting this thing to work
("Don't both with the Thrustmaster apps", "Have Windows
recognize it and it works", "Just use the latest 5.0 patches"),
and I'm still having problems.  My questions is -- what do you
guys see in the Control-Panel/Game-Controllers?

My system -- Dell, Windows ME, 1Ghz, Soundblaster Live(!)

When I plug it in via USB, it is recognized and the
Game Controllers shows it as "Nascar Pro II".   Running
the tests seems to show it works (everything is recognized),
but when I got to calibrate the steering, it states "Move it
in circles and hit a button".  Well, this isn't my joystick --
The feedback is either movement along the X-axis (left & right
steering) or Y-axis (throttle, brake).

Are people seeing this as "TM Pro Digital 2", or like mine
above?  If so, am I missing something in the calibration,
since it seems I'm pretty damn close.

BTW, I loaded the newest 5.0 drivers from Thrustmaster.

Thanks in advance.

I just got a hold of Technical support again at Thrustmaster,
and they have a different driver to drive that's supposed
to fix my problem.  We'll see.

(sadly, they can't give it to me until Monday given that their
FTP sites are dead in France and no one -- supposedly -- will
get to them until Monday PST.   Whatever....)
