Help - NASCAR w/ Thrustmaster vs. Virtual Pilot

by Mike Viscou » Tue, 22 Aug 1995 04:00:00

I went to the store the other day with the intentions of buying
the NASCAR game and a thrustmaster but when I got there I also
saw a "Virtual Pilot Pro" and pedals.  I am now wondering if
I would be better off to buy the Virtual Pilot Pro w/ pedals
to use with flight simulators/games as well as the nascar and
indy games.

My main intention is to use whatever for NASCAR and INDY but
if the Virtual Pilot Pro works just as well as the Thrustmaster
I would be willing to spend a few extra $$ for the added use with
flight simulators/games.  On the other hand I have a decent joystick
that I use for flight games (rarely) and really want whats best for
the auto racing games.

Any experiences with either the Thrustmaster and/or the Virtual
Pilot Pro would be greatly appreciated.  Also if there is something
else out there that I should also look into I would appreciate
your experiences with them.

I have a 486DX2-66 w/ 24 MB and Promise EIDE 2300+ that provides
the game port.

Also any other considerations that I should be aware of would also
be greatly appreciated.

If I receive any replies via email I will summarize them and post
them when I make my decision.

Thanks very much in advance for any help,

Mike
