On the Sierra web site, there is a patch for both the Win 95 and the Dos
version. They have the update from 1.0.1 in dos and win95 to 1.0.2. A
patch for the paintkit is also on the web site. As far as other web pages,
they usually have a patch, but neglect to state which one it is.
If you install in dos, remember to use the indycar -h command, or else it
will be in non svga. I made a pif so I could just double click the pif
Icon, and It would reboot into dos, and load ICR2 properly.
As far as the gameplay, I had at various times installed both the Win 95
and the Dos version, and the dos version ran better on my computer (Pentium
90 Laptop). I guess you will have a far easier time with setups than I.
I watched CART for 4-5 years now, but it's no help on understanding what to
change.
Oh, although you probably already know, their are utitlities that will
convert the Indy 500 track pack for ICR1 to ICR2 (if you have it), and
conversions both ways between Nascar 1 and ICR2.
