Gday all,
                I have a little prob with the sound in GPL ... with the
original sounds i found that the Lotus and Eagle sounds poped and crackled
... so i played around and moved sounds around ... not using the sounds that
caused the prob ... now i have patricks sounds and about half of them are
doing the same and worse .... but only in car ... the external view sound is
perfect ... except i hate racing in that view

the brabham, is especially bad , but there is scratchiness(sic) and popping
in most of the sounds

pci64
pheonix banshee
msff wheel ( i really dont think this is the prob ;-))) )

I had the same problem when I updated (?) the PCI64 drivers. I went back to the
original ones that came on the CD, and the sound in GPL is MUCH improved.

shane the problem is your pci64 sound card.  I had one and got rid of
it.  You could try download the latest drivers, it did not help me,
but give it a try.
