HELP - EA F12001 & MS Sidewinder (gameport)

I've been running F12002 under XP Pro for a while now without any
problems. I've replaced my ageing Sblive 1024 with an Audigy Platinum
EX card and now the MS Sidewinder FF wheel (gameport) pulls to the
left and is very hard to steer. I've deleted the wheel from the game
controllers in the control panel and reinstalled it, I've applied the
full patch from EA but it remains unchanged.

Anybody any suggestions please?
