It ROCKS on my Sierra Screamin' 3D!!! I don't see what it wouldn't
support the 3dfx somehow if it's a D3D game. I can't wait 'til the V2200
cards come out! They're a good bit faster than the 3dfx at many things and
remember also that Microsoft first started D3D with the Verite V1000 in
mind. I can't wait to see CART Precision Racing run "like buttah" on a
V2200-equipped system!!!

Sierra may deem it not worth their while to produce versions of N2 for
3Dfx. This hasn't stopped many companies giving a new lease of life to
their products. EF2000 is a good example, that must have sold shitload
of copies unaccelerated. 3Dfx ownership is growing. By the time SODA
is out how many more people will own the card, not to mention other
cards that a rendition only version won't work on.
It is also nice to see companies who seem to do things for other
reason than pure economics (and who is to say that it would be
uneconomic).

With Nascar2 it was somewhat understandable that they didn't have 3dfx
support, besides N2 runs decently fast without accel, but the SODA beta demo
just about crawls on my P166 unless I turn down the graphics to the
point that they look worse than Test Drive 1 on my olde C-64.
No thanks Papy, I'll keep my hopes up for F1 Legends and hope you will
support 3dfx in that.
Cheers.

Probably like most 3dfx owners, when I bought Nascar2 I didn't own my 3dfx
since there was not yet a visible leader in the 3D card wars then. Also Nascar2
runs fast even without acceleration support, and SODA is not a NASCAR sim
which has a very large fanbase, but a SODA sim which I'm sure has a
significantly smaller fanbase.
For a company like Sierra to come out with a simulation today with no support
for the leading 3D card chipset, and especially if the final ver. of SODA
is as slow as the demo, doesn't make sense. I hope they realize the error
they are making.
Cheers.

Hehe, you sound confused, Joe. Sega <-> Sierra.
Although, Sega is being just as dumb with VF2.
