on any sim: everything on 100% realism. No helpers. AI on 100%. Full
amount of cars. Display 20 in front. Good frame rate and wheel set up
well.
Lap after lap. Getting good times. Time for a race. Ends in tears as I
spin off when some idiot cuts me up. Try again and again. All my
concentration on the 40 laps taken by keeping the car in the groove and
NOT touching the others! Again and again, I spin off as my eyes turn red
and ***shot from staring at a single pixel point on the screen.
Then I find a thread pointing to this:

Hmmm, new***pit view point with a better view of the track. Is it
cheating? Well, in a real car you get more than 2 inches of viewing space
so I decide that it's not and install it.
YES!!!! Top 5 all the way round. A few bumps but no spins or crashes.
Final lap in 2nd position. YAHOO!! Then I blew a front tyre and walled
it. But did I laugh? You bet.
At last I retired because of something else. So, if you're having trouble
staying on the track, get a new***pit. Better situational awareness.
Better sense of speed and less frustration.
BTW, does anyone know why the last few cars always head for the grass at
the start of a race at Daytona?
