one of their books on stock cars and it's helped me a lot both in the real
world and in N3. I personally would like to see a LOT more options on
setting up the cars now that I understand better.
Wouldn't it be great if I could map my function keys like this:
<Key-1> Loose Entering Turn / Loose Exiting Turn
<Key-2> Tight Entering Turn / Tight Exiting Turn
<Key-3> Loose Entering Turn / Tight Exiting Turn
<Key-4> Tight Entering Turn / Loose Exiting Turn
By pressing the proper key my "Crewchief" makes his best guess an adjustment
to my current setup. Maybe I'm dreaming, but this would be very cool...

For 3, is it loose on entry because the driver was trail braking? Or was he
already compensating with throttle? Was he apexing correctly, or fighting an
off-camber exit to make it tight on exit? Do we just assume that the car is
balanced in a steady state turn? Both ways? What if one corner is a 3, and
the next is a 4? Is it the car? or the driver? Was it a right turn? Or a
left turn? Uphill? Level? Downhill? Cresting? Is it bars and springs, or
would weight jacking solve it? Or could it be the driver needs to adjust his
line?
Four choices doesn't even come close to expressing the gross behavior of the
car, let alone the subtleties. You're far better off just driving someone
else's setup than trusting such a low-bandwidth simpleton.
