I've never heard of the great game Viper Racing. Perhaps you are speaking of
the pretty good in some areas but needs major improvements to be truly
considered great Viper Racing. If that's the one you mean, then no, I don't
believe that it is.

I've heard of, and played the great game Viper Racing.(the best use of
force feedback of any racing game). But I've never heard of any extra
tracks, and sadly MGI has no plans for an add- on or sequel.

No, I'm sure he's referring to the amazing simulation Viper Racing
(subtitled "probably second only to GPL in terms of great physics
model . . .").

Actually Viper is the ONLY game so far that really feels like you are
driving a real car.
GPL???? ha, ha, ha, ha what a joke, I mean it's good, but not even close to
realistic
and you don't need to hop back to '67 and into one of those cars to realize
this.

And this coming from someone who thinks SCGT is a "Sim" I suppose!

jim?........what planet are you from?

i defy you to show me a more complez physic's model racing game/sim on
the market today that entails a more realistic game emgine model than
GPL.......there isnt one.

by the way?.....how's the weather on Pluto these days??

While I think Jim's comments were a little inflammatory, I feel yours
go too far in the opposite direction. Viper does model a lot.
Have you seen the suspension cam, with rotors that heat and turn red,
and suspension that crumples when  you hit something?
Did you check out the real-time telemetry, showing G-Forces on the
axis you select?
How about the water that your car will submerge and bob realistically
in?
Hell, you can even choose an airplane as one of the vehicles.
That is a VERY open physics model, and it's fast as hell too.
I can run every detail pegged at 800x600, and get almost 50fps in the
benchmark on my meager K6/2-333.

My main issue with it is the relative lack of tracks. I like the
elevation changes in the tracks in the game (though they're a bit
exaggerated), but they all seem too simplistic with big, sweeping
corners.
