It's sort of lame to post nothing but bad news, but...no, there aren't
going to be any new tracks released for VR. Or a track editor. Sorry.

At least you had the decency and courage to post at all, more than can
be said for a lot of reps.
Thanks

The "setups" fix
There has been some confusion about how the save-setup interface works.
It's not very clear. Although the interface looks like a file-save dialog, it
isn't one. It's actually a "choose save slot" dialog, with the added ability
to "name a slot". So, typical operation of the dialog involves choosing a slot
(by clicking on one of the rows below the input field) and then typing a name
in the input field.
Once I explained this process to a few people who reported the setups bug
(back when I was soliciting patch features), they seemed to think the process
was adequate -- if a little misleading. Let me know if I'm missing the real
issue here.
Otherwise, some common "patch" feature requests were
- Optionally disable "car reset" for *** racers
- higher resolution video modes available
- Optionally disable hornball in multiplayer
- Frame rate counter
- More cars
- Gear display in replay
- Ability to look backwards
- Larger rear-view mirror
- car editor
- track editor
- more tracks

Dave,
It's nice to know that not everyone is as secretive about forthcoming
patches as Papyrus.
Jon.
