Sorry for whatever misfortune you had but overall it sounds like it was a
pretty good race.  I don't have a whole lot of online experience, but 12
finishers out of 18 starters is a higher percentage of finishers than any of
the online road races I have been in so far.

No kidding!

On the second lap I stayed left in turn 1 to let a car go to my right, and
the lefts dropped off the pavement.  While trying to ease back on the track,
the curb tossed the car to the left and I found the only head-on wall in the
whole place, head on.

Oh well, there's always next week :)

of give n take throughout.  Couple of unfortunate situations but thats a

RASCAR Kyalami TA Results

It definitely was a good race. The entire field drove very well. Everyone is
really doing an excellent job these past few months. I'm sure you'll have a
lot of fun.

Despite how it ended for me, I enjoyed the race a great deal. Kyalami is a
new track to me since I never drove it in GPL. At first I didn't like it all
that much, but it's a favorite now. I was in a three way battle with Neil
and Ginger (I'm starting to think those two are secretly real life F1
drivers :-) ). After we had each completed our pit stop, I think we were
about 6 seconds apart. Unfortunately, Ginger then had to serve a drive
through penalty for speeding in the pits. Neil did a great job and took the
flag.

I can't wait to run the rest of these TA races. :-)

I am really sorry too have missed this one.  I love this track even
though I wasn't any good at it.  And, just to echo David, everyone has
been driving really well lately especially considering the very
challanging tracks we have been running.  At this rate we might even
have a caution free race at Michigan next year.   :)

So far it was a pretty good race. Too bad I had to go but it was kids-movie
day and have to go to the theater with the family.

Was running third and dont know how, someone pull an awesome pass over me at
T1, probably I brake to early but still was impressed. It was hard to have
the rythm, more with traffic. Only got a problem with one car that make me
loss like 3 seconds. Dont know if he realize I was lapping him.

Yes, I'm glad to see Neil win after our mixup on lap 6-7 in BBQ bend.

I lost out on the start to Jurjen? and was setting him up for a pass
but got too***y and hooked the inside curb in BBQ so that I ended up
across the track.  Somebody plowed into me, not their fault as I was
unsighted 3/4 of the way around the bend and there's no flagmen and I
was damaged.

I ran a few laps at reduced pace and tried to stay out of the way but
Neil guessed wrong (I still find the chat interface too awkward).

I had a similiar problem with a lapped car who held me up for almost an
entire lap mid race, which cost me a couple of seconds. No idea what he was
thinking.
