RASCAR: Bristol Race Recap - NO YELLOWS!!! GREAT JOB GUYS

by jason moy » Tue, 27 Aug 2002 05:09:53

Oh.  I haven't been logging anything, but I have been talking a lot of
music and sim stuff between 12am and 8am EST, if you want to check.
The last few days I've been kinda busy but since I run BX in a screen
session there's really no point in going through the hassle of
disconnecting and reconnecting to talk to the 4 people I want to talk
to.

Honestly, I don't even remember how to enable logging in BX.  If I set
myself away, it will log msg's.  There's probably a toggle, but really
I'm too busy to mess around with it.  I'd rather take the time to
respond to your *** posts. =p

I think that warp was an issue for some people.  There were a couple of cars
that I was reluctant to pass because they were jumping back and forth.  But
yeah, I saw a few incidents where patience was in short supply.

Actually Darlinton is one of my favorite tracks.  T1 & 2 are a blast
(Although I have not run the FAST setup here...).  However, its gonna
be a mess in RASCAR since it is a VERY tight track and passing
requires that you must be very close to the car beside you.
Qualifying is going to be very important here.  It's gonna be fun
though.

No way, this is also one of my favorite races to watch each year.  IMO
the 5 best races of the year for the NASCAR guys are:

Bristol
Richmond
Marty
Darlington
Texas (Only because I get to go to this one)

I hope they never get rid of these tracks.

<snip>

NP Larry.  Just one of many... I got bootted or caught up in something
so many times I lost count.  I had checked up to stay off the car in
front of me so it was not my normal breaking style entering the turn.
It's just Bristol...

> Talk to the HAND  ..I..

I think you should read your posts again Mitch since that race.  You show a
clear lack of "un-gentlemanship", even if you are right or you are wrong.
Is there some sort of rule against that in RASCAR?  I sure don't want to
race with people having the attitude you have here on r.a.s. posting like
that.

No problem Mitch. I think we all knew going in that it was Bristol and shit
happens there. Hey at least I led a few laps :) And a big thanks to Jan for
trying to turn me back over when I was like a turtle on its back! It worked but
I didn't have any gears after that. Sorry to the ones I hit as well. And as
always...thanks Eldred for the opportunity to race.

I wouldn't know, but you know this from experience obviously :-)  And I mean
it in a nice way...

Let it go, Frank.  I've sent e-mail to both guys, and *hopefully* we won't have
a repeat....

I *hate* Darlington.  I'll agree with Larry's suggestion of burning it to the
ground...<g>

Oh you also double-post?  That's normally sign of trouble.  Tehe.

Anyway, I hope they take action for you on RASCAR.  I know I don't want to
race with people that have such attitude as yours on the track, flaming
everybody here and there, writing with such low language of the streets.
