I personally can't wait for them to release the 959.  That has been my
favorite Porsche of all time.  I had a poster of it up when I was in
high school when they released it.

Anyone else notice the additional races in golden and modern era?  You
can change it from tournament races to classic or golden races.  They
have rallies and such.  Also, the drivers seem to be at the higher skill
level of whatever era you are racing tournaments in.  This game just
keeps getting better and better.  I am in the modern era and have the 95
turbo with the GT2 wing on it, it is way fast.

What else does your '95 Turbo have on it? Mine is actually as fast as
the GT1. My '95 has the following mods:

Stage 2 turbo
50% larger intercooler
professional brakes, springs, and shocks
GT2 lid
extra stiff sway bar
slicks

I have run a 2:22.68 on Cote d'Azur in it. But my fastest car is my
'00 911 turbo. I don't remember the exact specs on it, but I have it
loaded up with all the goodies that you can buy including the Stage 2
turbo, intercooler, throttle body, injectors, ECU, intake, hi perf
exhaust, etc. It has all suspension mods too. I have run a 2:17.09 on
Cote with it. This game is so incredible....

I think the only things I have besides that are the superlight flywheel
and performance exhaust.

I haven't gotten the '00 911 yet.  Looking forward to it.

I like doing the custom paint jobs on the cars.  They did a pretty good
job of giving you the preset trims to play with.  So you can do a decent
paint job without having to fire up photoshop or whatever.

I have noticed something that I think is a bug.  If you finish a race
with any damage, when you car comes to a stop your damage to handling
doubles.  This is with the x.33 version.  I would like a little more
control over making single and multiplayer races, but other than that I
think this game is what a lot of people have been looking for in a racer
ond the PC.  Well, I suppose a few people would prefer Ferrari ;)

Is this on the NFS website? I haven't been able to find any car downloads
there? I only see the specific post I'm replying to, so I don't know if
there was more info posted originally.

My favorite car so far was my 1978 911 Turbo with the following mods:
Stage 4 Turbo
50% larger intercooler
Pro brakes, springs, shocks, stiff sway bar
Slicks

This car is so fast and so scary for that golden era (back end is *very*
loose) I had such a blast when I first upgraded it and found just how
fast it was, it's actually too fast for that chassis, full lock pendulum
turns every corner, and you can blow away Dylan too if you can keep it
under control, problem was I was paying like $10K a pop for all the
damage when I lost control :-)

Another wow moment was driving that special 935 at the Monaco circuit, the
difference in physics modeling for that car compared to all the earlier
models, and just how amazingly fast you can drive through the streets of
Monaco is pretty cool.

Yes, I'm loving this game too.

Yeah, the mid-70s Turbos are quite a handful. The accuracy of the
handling in this game just blows me away. The only Porsches that I
have ever driven are a 924 and a 944 Turbo but I have been a car nut
since the early 80s and Porsches have always been amongst my favorite
cars. I have read numerous magazine articles about the handling
characteristics of various 911 models and the physics in the game
reflect exactly what I have read. This game is amazing.....
