GPL Rank - couple of ideas...

Uwe, fantastic site, brilliant job (the girlfriend's not happy with you,
though, for all the time I'm spending here trying to get better), but I was
wondering if you could do a couple of things: In the Nations Cup, any chance
of clicking the country and getting a list of who's representing that
country? Also, minor trivial thing....is there any way, when uploading your
times, you can get a start folder of, say, C/Sierra/GPL? That'd shave at
least a second off my PB upload time - damn! The Rank's getting into all
aspects of my life!

 Superb job, old chap.

I would like to see a category of current handicaps by chassis.

Err, I don't have a C:\Sierra\GPL folder, so that would *** things
right up.  :)

You can do it already, via the "Multiple Choice Hell" section.

Hi Jim. You can do that and more. Use *Multiply Choice Hell* to select
any combination of Chassis, Track, and Country, and show lap times or
GPLRank rating. Very few people have times in for every chassis on
every track.

I was working on that last night, but got too inebriated (my friend
Udo is the guy who'll give GPL rank his final home once his new
machine arrives) on the expected birth of Udo's daughter, so I'll
give it another shot tonight ;-) I'd like to take this occasion to
wish him all the best! Well done, mate!

No, sorry. I browsed the CGI.pm (perl module) docs (which powers
most of the dynamic parts of gplrank) and couldn't find a consistent
way of doing that. What you can do however is creating a link to
your player.ini in the default upload folder that Netscape /
Exploiter looks into when the file dialog pops up.

I share your pain. ;-)

Thanks much. Thanks everybody for making gplrank what is is: it'd be
nothing without its wonderful users.

Uwe

I meant for all tracks and countries only under a certain chassis.  I can't
see how I compare in all tracks together and get a overall GPL ranking in
just the Brabham records for instance. It says I must select a particular
track first.
It was just a thought. I'm sure it would be allot of work to work that
feature out. Don't stay up late for me to add it. I appreciate GPL rank for
what it already has.

You can Jim. When in MCH just select Chassis, don't select track or
country, then ask to *Show handicap ranking*. If you have previously
selected a track or country you will have to back out of MCH and then
go back in.
