i can't seem to get n3 to recognize my wheel when i have the microsoft ff
joystick installed on my machine. if i uninstall it, no problem. when
installed, n3 doesn't recognize the wheel. any ideas? thx.

I had the exact same problem.  You don't have to uninstall the Microsoft
joystick, just physically unplug it from your machine and the wheel should
work fine.
