I've spent the last two weeks configuring my brand new PC to get the
best out of GPL. It's all I brought it for! Is all lovely now with the
dozens of patches giving gorgeous graphics and a maxed out frame rate
to fully exploit that spot on physics model. My last remaining downer
is the sound is only coming out mono 8-(

Is there a common explanation for this? I'm just using a pair of
stereo headphones in the green output of the sound card. I've got the
same problem on two separate machines.

The card plays everything else in stereo so this seems to be a GPL
thing ...

Any pointers much appreciated, Adrian

Maybe your engine sounds are in mono. Try converting them to stereo in
Creative WaveStudio or similar.
