Brands Hatch Problem

I'm having a problem getting this track to install. I unzip it to the
windows\temp dir. and run the exe and it finds my c:\Sierra\Gpl folder and
about half way through the installation it then gives me an illegal
operation and will be will be shut down . I have read the readme file and I
have 2.3 gig left on my only hard drive. I have d\loaded the zip file 3
times and get the same results every time. Any ideas? TIA,

No problem here. Try d/l again.

I downloaded both DUBAI and BRANDS several times and I keep getting the same
results.  It starts to work, but crashes in the middle of the  install

Well, you need the full version of the game first, and you need to make sure
you have done a full install.  Good luck!

Try unzipping in a different folder, best one you make for this purpose and
delete afterwards.

Hi Willie

This sounds unlikely but try looking for a virus.  A symptom of some
viruses is that self extracting archives do not work.

Goto to www.avp.com and download the excellent Anti Virus pro this
solved this sort of problem for me

I've had this happen to me in the past when my temp direcory was full of
junk, I cleared it out and things went back to normal

for one thing...why on earth are you unzipping this track into your
TEMPS directory???.this is a no brainer install........unzip the file
into a folder that you usually unzip zips to...e.g.i have a seperate
folder called unzipped...or if you have win98...use the My Documents
folder for this....it's only a 380k file so even with just 2.5 megs of
space it's NOT going to interfere....once you have the file
unzipped...execute the brands.exe file and point the way to your GPL
directory...and phoof...it installs all by itself and that is all you
have to do.If that doesnt work...simple....delete something that you can
easily re install after you've deleted it to make more room for the
install....easy!!!!!

It's not a virus because all my other self extracting archives work

But I did this and it still won't work.
Could someone please e-mail me either DUBAI  and / or BRANDS  with their
calendar settings?
This is very frustrating. It seems so simple but yet it doesn't want to work.

Could it be that it requires the original GPL.EXE, and you have a modified
version of the exe file due to addons, etc. you have applied?
If that's the case, try copying the original gpl.exe from the cd, and trying
again.
