Generally they will. A good warnign sign is that hypersnap DX will not. Some
programs do an internal check before running and they know if they've been
modified. It is a possibility i would not discount, and if i were you i'd find
a virus checker to handle win.cih.

Well, I did what u guys said and I check for that virus you were talking about.
And guess what!!  It is NOT there at all.  I am at the boiling point. All I
want is to race at DUBAI and BRANDS in GPL and I can't even do that.  Could
someone please just send it to me before I kill myself.

Well, I can send you a knife.....On a serious note, Dan asked if you
did a full install of GPL.....now, did you?

: I'm having a problem getting this track to install. I unzip it to the
: windows\temp dir. and run the exe and it finds my c:\Sierra\Gpl folder and
: about half way through the installation it then gives me an illegal

: have 2.3 gig left on my only hard drive. I have d\loaded the zip file 3

assuming the install extracted all of the relevant files into the
brands directory (brands.dat and a few others) and failed doing some of
the file updating (season.ini etc.) i'd have a read of this:

http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/paulhoad/gpl/adding.html

and try to complete the job by hand.

good luck!

I succeeded in installing Brands Hatch (after several attempts following the
original instructions)

- before installing create folder "brands" in gpl/tracks
- copy brands-zip file to this folder
- unzip and run the exe-file

Willie,

I had a similar problem with Brands Hatch.  Just make sure that the exe
creates the Brands folder in your gpl track directory. Then extract the all
the files in the zip file to the Brands folder. Open the folder and run the
exe program. It worked for me.

Brands Hatch Problem

Hi!

I'm having the exact same problem getting Brands hatch installed. I unzip
the files into the brands track directory and run the .exe. But halfway
through the program throws an exception. What's going on?

I finally got the brands hatch track installed. You have to have a full
install of GPL. It didn't work with my typical install.

Brands Hatch Problem

Hey! I got it going! All I did was unzip the files to a directory (same as last
time), run the .exe (same as last time), show it my gpl directory (same as last
time), hit "go, Go, GO" (same as last time), and -wait-! (different!) I'm used to
these things running really fast, and when it didn't, I interrupted the process.
I gave it about 45 seconds and all was well. I was so encouraged, I got Dubai as
well! Two new tracks!

Thank You to the people who take their time and talent and pass it along to us
just for the joy of it, pour le sport. Now if someone were to give us LeMans for
GPL...(hint, hint...), I'd be willing to pay for it. YES, I WOULD!
