If anyone have this wheel working fine, please help some of us on this message
board that are having lots of trouble getting this wheel to work.. I know that
I have installed/uninstalled everything having to do with this wheel atleast 25
times.. I don't know what else to do.. The best that I have done is getting the
wheel and all the components to work in the program that came on the cd w/ the
wheel.. I have it calibrated outside of the game, now I JUST can't get the
wheel to work inside of the game. If anyone has any futher suggestions or the
answer to this problem, please I'm begging you to please post a reply!

fine. I have to calibrate it outside of the game everytime i reboot my
computer, then do it in the game, but other than that it's fine. what is the
exact problem, what does it do, i would love to help.

I have to do the same thing you do. calibrate it everytime windows starts. But
that shouldn't be. I also my wheel pulls to the left. and the sometimes to the
right.
Hard to keep it straight.

I bought the Pro Digital to use as an interim wheel since my old TM Nascar pro
wore out and I was saving for the TSW2 which I'm using now. I had a heck of a
time setting it up. I finally installed it WITHOUT the drivers and let Win98
recognise it as an hid device. I calibrated it in Windows as a 3 axis, 8 button
joystick. Calibrated it in N3 and NLegends, using joystick 1 and 2. Steering
and brake on one axis, gas on the other. GPL, upon noticing the change in
wheels , went right to the controller options screen without being prompted.
That was a blast with 3 axis and was able to "brake drag". Sure improved lap
times. I only had to set it up once for everything. Couldn't use all that extra
stuff that came with the wheel (software) because I didn't install the drivers.
It did the job though however it dosen't compare to the TSW2.

Elvis2 Thank you...Thank you very much.

ok
I uninstalled the thrustmaster crap drivers, and I let windows recognize the
wheel as a Guellemot wheel. I am still having trouble with the wheel behaving
erradically. I can't keep it in a straight line in GPL!!

Try recalibrating it in GPL then try running GPL in novice. See what happens.
Also, is GPL using 3 axis?

I know a little about this wheel as I had one back in January. All the problems
with this wheel are based on the drivers (software for Windows). I never did
get a reply back from Thrustmaster about my problems, so I fixed it by sending
the wheel back.
Now for some help: This is from the Guillemot forum. Guillemot bought out
Thrustmaster awhile back.

Title: *** Nascar PRO Digital USB Dead Spot Resolved ***

You can now download the version 3.04 from www.thrustmaster.com
(http://www.guillemot.com/download/acc/tmd/dtp-9x-304.exe)

So, here is the address for the newest drivers. Read the instructions as to how
to install the drivers but first do the following if you had drivers installed
for this wheel before on your system.

Make sure to remove the drivers from your hard drive. They were in a folder on
my root directory but I forgot the name of it. There was a file in that folder
to run that was to remove the wheels drivers from the system but it did a very
bad job at that too. So after you delete that folder with the drivers files in
it, the next step is to edit the registry to get rid of any traces of Digital
Pro or Thrustmaster from the registry. Besure to back up your registry before
you start messing with it. If you make a mistake in the registry, your system
could be do for the count.

Now that all traces of the old drivers are removed fron your system, start over
by installing the new drivers as instructed in the text file that came with the
new drivers.

My 2cents on this wheel is take the price you paid for it and multiply that
times 4. That is how much your headache with this wheel has cost you in your
lost time and stress.

This wheel, once configured is actually better than my Thrustmaster NASCAR Pro.
I have 7 different profiles currently so I can race in each game and have the
wheel configured for that games utilities/button assignments, ie:using the
paddles to shift in F1/GPL or declaring different buttons in each game for pit
strategies. It takes patience to set the wheel up. Grab a coffee and here you
go....
Ok gentlemen, here is what you need to do:
1. Download the latest drivers off of the Thrustmaster website - 3.04
2. Remove your current wheel from the control panel/device manager screen - Run
the cleantp program from the file you downloaded
3. Run/Install the drivers you have downloaded
4. You will be promted to reboot a few times while it recognizes everything. If
it fails to recognize, you may have to manually select from a list of hardware,
select Human Interface Device, select have disk, point in the direction of the
directory you saved the drivers to and click on the file prousb.ini
5. Once you have completed all of this, run the thrustmaster keyboard emulation
program. This will bring you to the control panel. Make sure your device is on
Controller ID number 1 by going to the advanced tab. If using win 98 you can
change it from here, under win 95 it is too complicated for me to explain here.
6. Calibrate the wheel - making sure you calibrate the axis first with the ++
domahicke. When you click the check button, it will bring you back to the
properties box, just go back in and finish the calibration
7. Go and calibrate in the game and play
8. If you use multiple driving games, it is best to setup a profile for each
one. This allows you to program and calibrate the wheel differently for each
game. You need to experiment with this.
9. If using multiple profiles you will need to run the keyboard emulation
program again selecting keyboard emulation this time and selecting the game
manually from the screen under the profile you created, press the start button
untill it says stop, twice for me, and then go play the game.
10. If your wheel is still pulling to one side, on the axis configuration page,
remove a little deadspot by pulling the right lower button down a hair
11. Go slow, then run fast on the track

You guys moved the thread on me.. ;-)
NYR, I forget, as I havn't run gpl in a long time(probably should just to
remind me what n4 is going to be), can you pick the input device as in N3?
Also, what wattage is your power supply and what other hardware do you have in
the machine? USB is very sensitive to this. And I never got an answer: When you
click in the driver package, does it unpack to a folder then reboot the system
by itself? -Mark
