ok
here we go again.
I unistalled all Thrustmaster drivers, and I cleard the name from the registry.
I opened the 3.04.exe and unpacked the files to a temp folder. It told me the
cpu must reboot. I pressed ok. The cpu rebooted. windows started. New hardware
was found. It asked me where the drivers were. I pointed it to that temp
folder. It began to install the drivers. and then it asked for my WIN 98 SE cd,
so I put that in and the installation continued. Finally it said installation
was done. It said it must reboot the cpu and I said ok. cpu reboots. Windoze
reloads. I immediately disable the keyboard emulation and banish it from ever
showing up again. I then went to the control panel to calibrate the wheel. I
begin to calibrate the wheel. Once again the center is off. It goes all the way
to the left, but it does not go all the way to the right. argh. Pedals are now
calibrated for 2 axis. ok. I know goe to GPL and calibrate in the game. ok
fine. done. I take my Eagle to Monza and I leave the pits. I am now racing. Car
is moving very fast. Problem. The onscreen wheel is all over the place. The car
is pulling to the left and right. I can not keep the damn thing in a straight
line. I shout many curses. I then leave GPL, and I go to N3. I calibrate the
wheel in N3. Fine. I take my car out to Daytona. Not terrible. The wheel still
pulls to the right though. Same thing happened when I went to NL. I know go to
Viper Racing. The game recognizes the wheel and calibrates automatically. I go
to track and race. I can't keep the car in a straight line again!! The can go
turn all the way to the left. But not to the right.
I can't continue. I feel sick.

Try this, go into windows game controller, remove the wheel from the active
controller list, then add it again, but don't go into calibration (this is
the key). Now go into your racing games and calibrate within the games. I've
been using this wheel for over 6 months and picked up the tip shortly after
buying. Once you get past the pathetic driver software, it's actually not a
bad wheel. Tom

I've been using the Nascar pro digital, which you can now buy for under
$40.00, on the following games with no problems: GPL, SCGT, N3, Mobil 1
Rally, Viper Racing. I haven't been able to get it working in GP500 or any
DOS games.

hmmm... It would be a bad thing if only the cpu reboots as a cpu cannot
reboot... CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, or 'Processor' as it's
called more often...

CPU's don't reboot, complete computer systems do... I wonder what would
happen if only the CPU reboots and everything else continues running...
Somebody interested in trying this? Just start your pc, open your case and
then pull the CPU of the motherboard.... I really wonder what will happen
:-)

Well, this didn't work. No game would work with this method.
Any other suggestions!
