f1 c pit questions

by warlord71 » Sun, 18 Jan 2004 04:52:26

when i lose a wing or whatever, i hit "s" which will call up my pit crew.
then i go into pits and the car automatically slows down and goest to my
crew, gets fixed up, fueld, etc. and then the computer controls till the
yellow line where i can gun it again.

but, everytime during a race, i end up getting a stop go penalty to do
within 3 laps.  first, how do i serve one of these?
second, how come i am speeding? there is a rev limiter but that doesnt do
anything, and when entering the pits am i supposed to drop speed to 49 mph
manually?

thanks

If you have the Pit Assistance turned on, then the computer will control the car
into and out of the pits.  However if you come barreling towards the pits at Full
CHat, then the computer won't have time to get slowed down to the pit speed.
The rev limiter doesn't work if you have Pit Assistance turned on cuz the PA is
engaging the Rev Limiter automatically.
If you turn OFF the pit assistance, then you can manually turn on/off the pit lane
speed limiter.  But again, you have to balance how fast you approach the pit line
entrance with your ability to get whoa'd up in time before you cross the pit entrance
line painted across the entrance to the pits.
A  stop and go penalty is served by driving to your pit stall.  A smaller than usual
crew will be waiting for you..and you have to stop until the guy with the***pop flips
it over for you to go.
