Defective Ferrari FF wheel?

Defective Ferrari FF wheel?

I just bought the Guillemot Ferrari FF wheel. I had a Race Leader but I
wanted separte pedal Axis so I just bought this one.
Does everybody elses Ferrari wheel feel really notchy?
I've turned the FF full on, no difference. Turned FF totally off, no
difference.
It is really hard to do fine precision steering when it feels like the
wheel can only move in predefined "notches."

Is my wheel defective, or are the all like this?

I wouldn't call it "notchy", maybe more along the lines of gritty ...

But I think what you are feeling is just resistance from the mechanics of
the FF system itself.

My wheel is definately not notcy but you can make it notch in GPL by fidling
with the FF settings in core.ini. Try changing these around a bit and it
should improve things. If it is the same on all games then I'd say you do
have a defective wheel as it should be pretty smooth.

good luck
