A bit of a morbid topic... I was wondering which drivers in GPL are
still alive, and which ones died in racing related accidents.  I beleive
I heard that 50% or so of the drivers in the game were killed racing...
which ones?

I could be wrong but I think he died of cancer a couple of years ago.

This year, I've seen John ride several historic racing-bikes (NSU, Norton,
MV Agusta) at a classic motorcycle-racing event at Assen, Holland.
