GP3: MS Sidewinder gamepad setup

Hi,

I just bought this game. Although the graphics are not as great as expected,
Im still enjoying the game.
Im trying to setup my sidewinder gamepad but cant seen to configure it
exactly as I want.
I've programmed the accelerator as button  A, brake as B, C as gear down and
X as gear up.
I can drive like this but i would prefer to use the shoulder buttons for
upshifting//downshifting.

Anyone know if i can set it up like this? Ive tried a few things but it
seems that it can only setup 4 buttons, which is ridiculous.
If someone can help me out, i would appreciate it. It would make the game
far more satisfying to play :)

Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Thanks for that, Rrevved.
I forgot all about that software. I never had to use it before :)
Cool, now i can get working on getting the lap times down.
