Hi

I'm looking for help getting my new wheel to work with GP3....

At the moment, the wheel just doesn't work at all, I've installed the
control set for the wheel, but when calibrating the wheel there is no
force behind the wheel at all i.e. you can turn the wheel from full lock
to full lock and there is no "weight" behind it, it doesn't auto centre
etc. pedals are ***as well, pressing neither pedal is the same as
fully braking i.e. only the accelrator pedal does anything, ditto gear
paddles and other buttons on the wheel... Basically, utterly unusable...

The wheel is installed just fine, the sidewinder config software all
works perfectly (including all FF effects) and the wheel works fine
under GPL (albeit with no FF effects for off-road, fish tail etc, is
this right?)

What am I missing here? Is it something to do with the scheme installed
in the Sidewinder software?

Interestingly, when I boot the PC the wheel "activates" i.e. the "Force"
LED lights up, and it centres itself, and it has "weight", but starting
GP3 removes the sensation of weight immediately, exit GP3 and the wight
comes back...

I've checked previous postings on this subject and see that there have
been quite a few problems, but none of the solutions mentioned have
worked for me, I've installed the patch new Hasbro, run wheelfix, no
difference whatsoever...

All help appreciated..

TIA

a) make sure that the steering wheel is the first in the list in the Game
Controllers panel in Control Panel

b) reinstall GP3 - apparently in some cases you have to install the wheel PRIOR
to GP3

c) try highlighting the control driven calibration button

d) then save as your own user set.

Best of luck

Nick
