Does the trigger buttons of this wheel works with GP3 as gear buttons?
Even with the wheel's software I can't manage to put them working out as
gear buttons, which they are suppose do so.
So I have been playing with the front bottons, which often makes me mad
cause it's very easy to miss hitting a button when I'm in a hot lap.
Anyone can help?

Thanks

Are you refering to wheel paddles?  If so then mine work just fine on my
TM Ferrari wheel.  However, if you haven't already got it then download
the GP3 patch.  Without this I found it almost impossible to calibrate
my wheel to my liking.  It's called:

gp3_v113

and will probably be in zip form.

If you're not using XP I seem to remember that using the Sidewinder software
you can map the paddles to a keyboard key. If you then start the game and
map that key in game to change gear, you get the paddles to work. In XP the
Sidewinder software doesn't work though. But if you're desperate you could
install Win 9x to a separate partition and dual boot...

Isn't it only the gameport version that doesn't work properly in XP,
though? I've got XP and a USB MSFF, and mapping paddles/buttons to
keyboard keys works just fine.

You might be right David. I have an oldish gameport Sidewinder wheel and the
Sidewinder software doesn't work with XP. But the wheel still works fine
with the minimal XP drivers provided. The paddles work fine too, but I seem
to remember that the GP3 demo had an odd problem recognising the paddles
which I only solved using the method I mentioned above. Most other software
seems to spot all the buttons/paddles OK.

I'm using WIN ME with an USB MS sidewinder wheel.
I think that I've already tried out that solution.
In the end I just managed that only one trigger button worked out, and
as a pause button (the space bar equivalent).
But anyway I'll try again with several buttons, maybe I'll get some luck.

thanks
