Aside from the upcoming GTR 2002 mod, are there any good mods worth looking
into for F1 2002?

Do they have an easier way to install it yet? It looked like it was a pain
to install when it first came out.

Piece of***as far as I was concerned - or do you want them to do the
modelling, the physics, the texturing, then come round and install it FOR
you?

I also found the install difficult (I'm an IT software engineer!). It
screwed my F12002 game and I had to re-install

Knowing how to use an archive utility isn't a prerequisite for being
an "IT Professional".  Neither is the ability to use a computer to any
degree of proficiency either.

I unzipped it but don't get an .exe file to start it...

All the mods use the default exe to start.  The real work is done with a
shortcut that tells the exe file which .ini file to read.
If you unzipped the files with the 'use folders' option enabled, all the
files 'should' be in their proper place.  double clik on the shortcut and
away you go....(of course you have to make sure the new config.ini file
matches the default .ini from the F1 3d setup.
open up the mod config ini file and match the lower half to the lower
half of the default file...config.ini.  You only need to match the vidguide=
line but it probably is best if everything under the line gridsize=22
matches.

Mike...

It is an F1 2002 Mod....the exe is the F1 2002 one.

The mod only adds different cars and settings to the menu.

Good luck
