I'd like to see the Toyota team and new drivers, plus all the change
arounds. Very little has changed in the look of the cars... what would be
nice is to be able to alter more settings whilst racing like they can this
year.

I'd also like to see the Prost team kept in, I'm pretty sure they will
survive in some form and be back in F1 within the next few races.

Going to hurt sales of F1 2002 get it quick before EA find out.

OK downloaded it and had a look at the .bmp pics, they look very nice.

Couple of things I'm unsure about as I don't speak or read Italian. It looks
like the extraction path will put the files in the season01 folder in my
game directory, now will this overwrite some of the existing files or can I
create a link/shortcut to start the game using the 2001 teams or the 2002
teams.... I'd rather not make any more changes because of other mods I have
installed.

So if I extract them to a new folder called season02, can I create a new
shortcut, that points to this folder, rather than the season01 folder.

Now I have no idea if this will work, or how to start the game using this
config file instead of the original Config file.

No promises, Heckler, but the GT mod works by creating a desktop shortcut to
your f1_2001.exe with the tag "config=CONFIGFIAGTV2.INI". If you make your
own shortcut to the exe and add " config=config02" this might do it.

Let us know how it goes - I'm curious to try the same thing when I get some
time later.

OK I created a new shortcut to the game and added the config=Config02 line.
When I run it, it seems to work and brings up the graphics set-up as it
would on a first run.... I go through the set-up process and it then runs F1
2001 as normal... I think it's defaulting to the original game rather than
the modified one...

I seem to recall some one talking about something similar with another mod
(Possibly the GT mod), but I can't find the post.

I think it will work, if I can get it to use the same graphics settings as
the main game, the only changes I made to the config are to point the game
to the cars/driver in the Season02 directory.

Looks like I'll be doing some more playing around for a while to get this
thing running.

Does the "VIDEOGUID=" line read the same in both your original config file
and your new config02 file? After updating my graphics drivers I had trouble
with the GT mod until I copied this line over from the original.

Yeah, I did a copy of the original and just edited the lines to point to the
Season02 directory.
