This is my opinion only. I finally got hooked up to Ten last night and ran
a few races.
I had to change my ISP in order to do so which is OK I guess. I have been
running on
Hawaii for awhile now and really enjoyed it. Ten is great, but. There are
too many foul
mouthed people out there. People are out there to wreck, not to race. How
do I get into
a serious race with someone? Hawaii was a lot better because there were a
lot more mature
people because they had to pay long distance charges. How is a guy supposed
to bring his
skill level back up when everyone thinks it is a demolition derby? Is there
a zone for guys like
me who are there to race, not play?

As for the language, go to file/preferences/general and activate
the text filter. That should at least make it tolerable.

Right click the guys names that you know are ignorant buffoons
(for sure) and 'muzzle' them. You won't see any of thier chat and
they can't join races that you create. Encourage other responsible
racers to do the same and I think things will improve quickly. You
can also password protect races you create and whisper the
password to certain people you like to race with.

You can also join or start your own league. Leagues provide the
absolute best quality racing. You run with guys you know and
can have additional rules to keep things civil. If you follow this
newsgroup (and TEN's) i'm sure you'll see alot of old/new
leagues starting up on the NROS soon.

Hang in there, eventually you'll find the good drivers, and they'll find
you. I ran last night in several pick up races, towards the end people were
sending passwords back and forth to the good, clean drivers, and we we're
having a blast. I think there's a lot of new folks to Nascar Racing 2 that
need help, and we should offer our assistance to them. Let's not confuse
them with the folks that are there to just crash people out, I'm sure there
are a few of them, but I doubt they'll be there for long, asthey tend to
get bored and go on to bigger and better things for them. And finally, of
course, nothing can quite compare to league racing, try finding a league
and joining for the best online racing experience.
