N3 and MSFF Wheel

Okay,

LOVE the game, having a blast, but I CANNOT get N3 to see all the buttons on my
wheel. It sees ABC and X, but that's it and it sees them as J1 buttons 1 & 2 and
J2 buttons 1 & 2. What gives? Anyone get all their buttons working?

N3 will only recognize up to 4 buttons on a device, however all is not
lost in your case.  You'll need to use the Sidewinder software to map
the other buttons keyboard keys, which can then be used in the game.

A late 1999 game supporting DirectInput devices not supporting all the
buttons??? I love this game, but that's unacceptable.

Yeah, I know, but I hate that software. The original version at least
was smart enough to link to an executable so that you could enable it
and disable it with the loading of each game. For some reason, you now
have to do that manually and I often forget which then screws up other
games I go into that also use one of my MS devices. Granted, I can then
quickly turn it off, but it's a hassle.

You need to select a profile in the MSFFW profile selector.

In NR1999, the N2 profile worked fine.  Probably will for N3 as well.

Your shifter paddles will work after you do this, too.
