Colin McRae Rally & IE5 Problem

Colin McRae Rally & IE5 Problem

by Brian Matthew » Sat, 27 Mar 1999 04:00:00

Since installing IE5, and the 'patch' from Quarterdeck/Symantec, to
enable Cleansweep to run with this software, I find I am unable to run
Colin McRae Rally - Can get as far as the set-up/choices screen, BUT
when I attempt to run ANY actual game component, the game just returns
me to my desktop.

Have tried re-installation, but still can't get into the actual game.

Anyone else experienced this problem? - any suggestions/solutions?

Many thanks...

Runs fine here with IE5 beta and final.  Of course I wouldn't run anything
like Cleansweep if my life depended on it...

Marc.

ApparentlyIE5 uses some of the same DLL's as some videocard  drivers so
checkout you videocard  web site to find out if yours are affected as there
are some new drivers which rectify the problem. Try 3dfiles.co m to start
with.
