I couldn't help but comment on this.  I hope that some of the potential
innocent victims at IVGA will be allowed to compete in the NRL.  I can't
speak for Don since he runs the show, but if I were to be fast and
charismatic enough to catch the attention of the IVGA and was invited to
be on their Web page and to perhaps run some of their Leagues I would
problably accept.  Why not??  I don't think that this would then mean
that I had access to all the setups that IVGA has access to or that I
even needed them.  I would be devistated if I then received a message
from Papy saying I was ineligible to race in the NRL.  Perhaps some of
the top IVGA officials had access to these setups, but until this is
found out for sure I don't think they should be banned from the NRL.  I
have raced against some of these drivers off line before they were
associated with the IVGA and I never had a chance even back then.

Ken:

First off again the knowledge I have about setups came from over
2 years of off-line racing.  Points of Interest!!!

1).     NASCAR 1.21 setups will not work in Multi 1.36 let
        alone NASCAR 2.0

2).     I have taken my best setup for MULTI and given them to many
to top in the HAWAII, Should they all be banned???  Many
are not even part of the IVGA.  Many have taken my own
setup and run TOP 10 speeds at Atlanta, Michigan, C***te
        and Taladega....

3).     No One in the IVGA Management has access to NASCAR 1.21
setups except me... IVGA MANAGEMENT consists of Joe Farr
who had no knowledge of the anaylsis process and Jim
Jannseen that doesnt particpate.  All others are simply
Race Directors or staff associates that run areas of the
        IVGA.. Like Chat and Help

man this setup thing is becoming nutz  u can give an ok racer a great
setup and
how do u think he will do?
ok right -right
it takes more than setups 2 be good it takes hours of practice
the other thing is knowing how 2 make setups
i have spent many many hours on setups and learning how 2 drive one that
fits my driving style!
i have many top quals on hawaii and needless to say i dont work on them to
give them out

This is true but....An example...I do not have much time to work on setups.
I spend allot of time racing.  I love IROC (Ace Setup ) because of that.
Yes I have to adjust my style to the car.

I was turning 180.xxx at c***te and really didn't have a good setup.
Because I was being blown away with people turning 185's or more.  I was
given a setup by a friend and within 10 minutes of track time was turning
185's 186's with it.    Setups make a big difference if you know how to
drive.  A ROOKIE will never be helped by a setup but good drivers are.
(not saying I am a good driver... so don't spam me)

The same thing happened at Watkins Glenn.  I could run  laps with ACE
112's but jumped to 118's with a good setup.  I needed to know how to drive
the track but the setup helped A LOT!

If a person can drive and knows the track.... the setup helps.

This is alot like golf.  a person who is having trouble breaking 100 don't
need the best equipment.  When you start shooting 80 or 79 or less your
equipment makes a difference.   Then once you get past that it is a MENTAL
and Strategy challenge.

NRL will be like that for the top drivers.  It will be more strategy and
mental concentration.   That is when it gets real fun....

I heard that the IVGA Fastlap program submitted the car setup along with
the laptimes WITHOUT PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE of the participants.

Is this true?  How did IVGA get all these great setups that folks spent
countless hours producing?  Is setup submission voluntary in IVGA?  Sounds
like IVGA built an empire of setups here, the question is, was it done
ethically?  Just tell me it is all kosher, I'll believe it.

I do not know the answers... please enlighten me.  I know that there are
some EXCELLENT drivers who have done it all on their own, who felt that
they had their setups ripped off by fastlap.  What is the response to this?

I almost wish they WOULD change the physics model in N2 just to get us all
on a level playing field.  Making setups is HARD,  it sucks to think someone
has bypassed this procedure, especially in a devious fashion.  Tell me it
ain't so!

Don:
1.Anyone who knows Joe Farr knows he doesn't need any setup help to be
as fast as he is.
        2. I was very interested to hear that your Atlanta and Michigan setups
were identical. Could you post that one please? <G>
        3. I have given my good setups out on several occaisons, only to have
the guys who got them get po'd because they were unable to make them
perform. One has to be able to drive the car and the line to get the
benefit.

It's so true.  You have to be able to drive!   I'm by far not the fastest
at any track, but can hold my own on some of them.  I have a martinsville
setup that will let me run 50 laps with only about 6-10 laps under 99 mph.
I have it on my web page.  I can get over 100 with it on about 5-10 of
the 50 laps.  Yet when other guys use it they say 98 is the fastest they
can get.  So I have come to the conclusion that it's just my driving
style and the set up fits that.  I worked *** that setup and wondered
why guys couldn't go as fast as me with it.  I'm sure some might be able
to go faster<G>.

Just my 2 cents,
  Higgy/Pup
