I have Nascar2 and have yet been able to hook up on the modem with a
friend of mine across town. The modem initialization fails every time
whether I am the receiver or the sender. Anyone know the right settings
for the strings???  Also, this game will play without the CD in the
drive.  Please Help.

Generally AT&F1 will work. Remmeber that the baud rate HAS to be set at
19.2 or 38.8....it will not work set at 9600 or 14.4

I have had good luck with the USR 28.8 Sportster standard setup (INIT
AT&F^M~~~AT&K0&M0^M) with one exception.  I added &B1 after the &M0.
That has worked with my 33.6 USR Clone card for ICR2, Nascar1, Multi,
and NASCAR2.  Good luck.

I use:

  AT&F1^M~~~&K0&M0&N6^M

The &F1 restores the factory settings with hardware flow control, &K0 turns
off compression, and &M0 turns off error correction. &N6 limits connect
speed to 9600 baud, which will improve the reliability of the connection.
