Just forget it.
You cant play Gp2 via modem.

modem,It could be better but it is better than on modem game?

Actually you CAN play GP2 via a modem, just use the following guidelines.

1) Buy a P200+++
2) Buy a 33.600+++ modem
3) Select VGA, no texture, no details (no graphics and no cars if possible)
4) Expect <5 frames/sec and lots of coffe-breaks 8-(

got 32 ram
got t2
got 28.8 modem
set frames at 11.2 svga,track side objects on track texture on
runs ok
