GP2 - Reason it was late???

by esetse » Thu, 06 Feb 1997 04:00:00

After wading through post after post of:

        "GP2 runs 1 frame/hour on my P2-Billion!!"

responded to with:

"Wierd, it runs GREAT on my P7.5 in SVGA!"

 -:)

Well anyway, I just had a thought.  GP2 was a year or so late.  Maybe it
WAS done ON TIME after all!!! I'm guessing MP held it up because 1 year
earlier we would have all haed 486-66s or something, and boy it would
have really SCREAMED on one of those!!  <G>  Hmm, interesting thought.

OK guys, I now return you back to all the SERIOUS RAS posts you are
accustomed to.

Flame retardent clothes on!

hmm

Even that was too late - On my Sinclair Spectrum 48k I can now achieve
20+ framerates in SVGA with everything on (though I have to say
loading from tape is slightly slower than my now redundant 12x
CD-ROM). :-7

GP2 - Reason it was late???

spoke the following words of wisdom...

[All of it snipped. Sorry, but hey, that's bandwidth for you.]

Nothing to add really. Just had to report a nostalgic tear falling from
my eye on seeing the subject line, and recalling the halcyon days of
last summer with all the 'Official reason for delay' posts, and the
'Officially definite this time absolutely true reason for delay' posts,
and then my personal favourite, the 'I have a friend who works for MPS
and he knows the real reason for the delay' posts.

Those were the days, they don't make them like that any more.

Relax, man, we're all friends here. [IRONY WARNING! IRONY WARNING!]

Regards,

Paul
