MS FF Wheel Settings..?

by Isotrip » Sat, 02 Mar 2002 00:22:33

I just purchased the Microsoft Sidwinder FF Wheel, and I have noticed that I
have this push in the turns at every track in N4 and NR2K2; that I did not
have with either my Logi or my T2 Wheels. I was wondering what other users
of the MS FF wheel are using for settings in the profiler and in-game as far
as Linear, damping, etc.  As well as any tweaks to any of the INI files etc.
that could improve the handling of the wheel? In general so far I really
like the smoothness that the wheel has in controlling the car in the
straights etc. just the turns seen a bit too much.

TIA

Got me.  It's the only one I have ever tried.  Is it because it's
realistic (chassis setup and all)?

Nope, I think I got it on my own. Basically I had to adjust the Linear
Setting and a couple of other things and now I can finally hold the bottom
again. But, basically the problem was that there just was a push in the car
in every turn at any given track. For example, even at Daytona the car would
not want to hold the bottom at all and it would just continue to drift way
too high. (higher than the top groove actually.)

I Do believe I have it now though. Now to just get used to that brake pedal!

Please share the settings for your MS Sidewinder for N2002. When my TM crapped
out I bought the MS but cant get it to feel right at all. Notchy
..twitchy...etc.
