I'd like to get some feedback, call it a survey if you want, on
the group's views of posting times to Schubi's site. I would be in the
top 50 at most tracks I drive seriously, and technically the second
fastest American at Spa (I know that's not saying much)but there has to
be dozens, maybe even hundreds doing the same times. So individually,
what are your personal standards for posting times, or do you even care?

If you don't post then how would we know... What I mean is post your times,
It makes the it more interesting for the rest of us... For what it's worth
these times are the fastest official times known... Maybe a few other hotlap
sites exist, but to me, this is the BIG one...

If no-one posted their laptimes, everyone would be the fastest guy around in
their own little world, In their own little head... If no-one posted their
times there would be nothing to compare with... So, contribute....

I'm currently slipping fast at the Ring (the only place I'm competitive, the
only track I come back to time after time)....

8:13 in the Ferrari won't do.... Have some homework to attend to...

<snip>

My view on this is simple: if you're faster than the person in P100,
then go ahead and post. I'll get round to it eventually - I've done
times that would get me P83 at Silverstone and P78 at Spa (cries of
"wow!"), but they were both in qualifying (though on a clear track - no
benefit from slipstreaming), so I'll have to do them again :-(

The site can be a little discouraging at times (I mean, 1:03.48 at
the Glen??? How on earth???), but the replays are awesome to watch, and
the setups are usually lovely and fast with minimal tweaking, even for
plodders like me).

PS: Greger Huttu's done 1:20.91 at Snetterton. Already. Crikey.

PPS: Doesn't Greger have *three* wheels on the dirt in his P2 Spa lap?
Just stirring... ;-)

I may even post a few laps.  Even though I may be as much as 4 seconds off the
lowest time.  As long as there's space in the list...<g>
