New Microsoft Wheel?

by james.. » Sat, 11 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I am in the process of *finally* deciding on which wheel I should buy
(Non-FF) and came across a listing (at a Canadian on-line vendor
http://www.racesimcentral.net/) for a non FF Microsoft
Sidewinder USB wheel that is due to be released soon.

It sells for $99 CAN (appx $60 US).

I couldn't find any info on the MS site about this upcoming product.
Anyone else heard of it?

I did have my choices narrowed to a TM Nascar Pro or the Mad Catz
Andretti (I liked the USB feature). This might complicate things.

New Microsoft Wheel?

This wheel is the Microsoft SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel. I just
bought one for $79.99 at CompUSA. It IS USB. It's strange that I could
find nothing about it on the MS site! I've tried it out for a few
hours. I have no complaints at this point. Actually it seems like a
pretty good quality wheel if one is not interested in the force
feedback.
