I just finished watching it a little while ago...great stuff!!!

A few things...

1)  They ran F2 and F1 at the same time!!  Ickx actually finished 5th
overall in a 2-liter F2...and the host, David Hobbs finished 10th overall
(and made a little crack about himself at the end :) in an F2 as well...did
he say BMW???

2)  They really did get it airborne at Flugplatz...

3)  And there were signs!!!  In one shot, of to the left, you see a sign
just like in GPL... 'Flugplatz'

Very cool...

After watching the "Nine Days in Summer" series on SV, you might also
notice that they really didn't drive these cars the way we drive them
in GPL. That is, they were not drifting and sliding all over the place.
They had some good camera shots at Stavelot, and although they were
coming through very fast, they were not coming through in a drift the
way that we usually go through there (maybe because there's a big
difference between crashing in GPL and crashing at 120+ mph in a
real '67 GP car).

Also one thing that I can see that's a big difference from GPL -- rain!
It seemed like every second race that year was run at least partially
in the rain. Now that was where you could see some definite sliding
around going on. I think Papy really missed the boat [pun intended] on
this one, as it would really add to our on-line racing experience.

God, that one sequence where Clark and Hulme came over the crest at
Flugplatz virtually side-by-side, with Gurney VERY close behind was amazing.
Those guys had some ***!

Yes, don't you hate it when there's such an incredible amount of grip on
the track! I want SLIPPERY tracks and cars! Give me rain!

You sure...? Only one race that year (Mosport) had any rain in it!
