My point is you got a guy who can lead races and stand on the gas.  You
teach him, don't *** at him.  Tomas right now is going out and trying to
win laps not races, and someone needs to teach him how to win races.
***ing at him and threatening him with his job is not going to help him
win races.  Overall Eddie has not handled the situation decently at all.

To my eyes it looked like she more or less the best car in the last 20 laps.
She was consistently running the lowest line of any driver. What cost her a
shot towards the end was having to lift off slightly once to avoid hitting
someone else, I think Sam Hornish.

If you would do a little investigating you would find that the greed and
desire for power were from cart and that is what prompted TG to form the IRL

IRL

Yes Tony wanted as much say as a franchise holder( at the time a owner) of
CART.  He had no owership in CART he was a track owner. He got upset that he
did not get that so he formed his own league.  Then pulled the 25/8 rule so
his newly formed league would not get its ass stomped by CART teams in its
first year where they ran the same equipment.  He has driven TV ratings
consistantly down since the split for his race.  He does not release
attendance figures, but the people are staying away in droves from
everything but race day.  And Race day attendance cannot be confirmed to be
what it was in the Pre IRL days.  This years ratings was the worst, even
after a bump when the CART teams started showing back up two years ago.
Additionally the oval only aspect of the league just leaves me out.  Finally
some of the aspects of the IRL that were embraced, American Drivers, Parity
on Engines since you can own them, and affordable racing is going out the
window.  Toyota and Honda will have factory support for only their blessed
teams and they will raise the bar to a point where if you are not running
the favored powerplant you will not be in the hunt.

Michigans race had a great last 30 laps.  To get there we saw great driving
from Tomas who was dominating the race.  other then that is was daft passes
for second and back.  Too bad Infiniti will not be back next year.  They
realize the dollars needed to spent keeping up with Honda and Toyota Factory
teams will just cost too much.

That cartoon is garbled - it didn't show, and neither did the next one in the

She definitely got shuffled back like in a NASCAR plate race... :-(

I'd say it's easier to teach patience than speed.  Speed is more or less
natural talent - it's difficult to learn(trust me<g>).

Sounds like you all missed the best racing of the weekend, The WSB race from
Brands Hatch! No artificial rev limits, no pop-off valves, no traction
control and no freakin' mirrors!

Go Colin, Go!

I missed the CART race, and I was wrong.  It was NOT re-transmitted.  It was
the F1 race they re-transmitted.

Dammit.

I know who won now (but I forgot), so it don't matter any more :)

Personally, I find the IRL more exciting than either F1 or CART.

The last 30 laps of that Michigan race yesterday were some of the most
nail-biting racing I've ever seen in my life.

Eddie helped him tear up a few of those cars :)

The kid is fast no doubt about it, but yelling at him and threatening him
with loosing his ride is not going to teach patience, its just going to get
you a pissed off driver.  Cheever needs to figure that one out. Kinda like
AJ.  Loved seeing him destroy part of one of his cars yesturday.
