Eddie also has to pay the bills for the cars that get torn up...

Yep, his son, he almost destroyed his career by going up to a cop pretending
to be a prostitue while being a test driver for Jaguar (not the best ride in
the world, but MUCH better then the IRL.)

Most of us that have "issues" with the IRL have nothing to do with the
drivers and cars, it has EVERYTHING to do with that *** Tony George that
runs it all. His greed and desire for power and control are what caused the
CART/IRL split in the first place.

Yup,  I would love to watch more IRL events, but the smell of Sulpher and
the taste of ASH overwhelms me everytime.

"EldredP"
4 races?  With the exception of 4 turns during one lap when a VASTLY
faster Williams could barely scrape by a slug Mclaren...there was no race in
Germany today.   Unless you call MS poking around WAITING for Ruebens to get
his ass in gear racing...........

Leading races does not bring in the money. Winning them does.  The
goal is to get to the checkered flag first, not to make it easier for
your opposition to do so by taking yourself out of their way.

Hear, hear.

Still, those cars were sooooooo far from running on the edge of adhesion that
Sarah was even able to stay on the lead lap. That's another issue. Where their
races run on "handling" type tracks (Nazareth, Phoenix) the races tend to be
much less spectacular, and much more of a crashfest.

That said, I still switched from the CART Vancouver race to watch the last
20-odd laps of the IRL race... Good for Tomas and Buddy

I got in parts of  ASA,NHRA,IRL, and NASCAR Sunday. The one good thing about
the NASCAR delays allowed me to catch some of the other races, and then they
cut it short so it was done in time fir the drags.

At the Indy 500 banquet this year I was sitting behind Josie George (Tony's
sister).  Apparently she doesn't like her brother too much either.  During
Tony's little speach she had her back to him - and was mocking every word he
said while reading the teleprompter.  Pretty funny.

She's the one who hooked me and my buddy up with an excellent Indy 500 package
after a chance meeting at LA International Airport :)

Amen to that.  TG's antics at Indy are the reason I only bought tickets
to the Craftsman Truck race this weekend at MIS.  That said though, it
was a killer finish on the TV.  :-)
