What do people recommend for graphics card for N4?
I have a PIII 600, Voodoo 5-5500 with the latest drivers from 3dfx, but
OpenGL has problems. The screen flickers, things disappear and reappear and
it's very slugest. Tried all the settings low, but still no help. Direct3D
is a big improvement, but things look fuzzy and the fps runs around 15?

Any Geforce2. Asus V7700 goes for the lowest price usually.

I've looeked at benchmarks of the Ultra (better than pro) and the dif
is negligible until you to really high res and 32bit. Not worth the
extra bucks, IMO.

I use the V5  to clear up the fuzziness, go to the LOD slider in the 3dfx
advanced properties.   move it to the left.   With a PIII 600 you'll
probably need to turn off some graphics(move sliders left) and reduce the #
of cars in your field.  I get 20's to 30's with No grandstands limited cars
little viewing distance.  But online that # jumps to the 40's.

I was going to mention the Ultra Jagg but as you state: "the dif is
negligible until you to really high res and 32bit." To me, it is  too
"pricey" right now and I could not see paying the extra $200++.
Your point is "spot-on" tho'.. Cheers Thom_j.
