Well, this started a few weeks ago after trying a demo. In every sim I
get a hesitation in the sound, example, in gpl, sit in the pits in
neutral, I hit the gas and the tach jumps but the sound lags just a
split second behind and seems to have a extra blip at the end. Makes it
a bit tough to drive well and I need all the help I can get. Yes, i've
uninstalled/reinstalled the sb drivers, tried several versions, clean
all registry entries etc. Iv'e taken the card out and cleaned out all sb
references I could find then reinstalled like new, more driver updates,
blah blah blah.... This morning a new sound showed up, it's doing it
right now, a chipmunk sound is coming from the right front speaker only,
a couple of chirps then 5-30 seconds later a few more chirps... What the
heck is going on?
At this point I'm thinking maybe the live card itself has gone bad...
any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. that chimpmunk
sound is driving me nuts....

Hi!

Goto the Environmental Audio settings and see if you have any effect
enabled.
