TD4 vs NFS2SE- why NFS2SE is so much better?

Popular opinion seems to be that NFS is alot better than TD4 but what
exactly is it that makes it better?

I have played the full NFS2SE and like it but the demo of TD4 looks
equally as good but it continues to get bashed in newsgroups, why?

If you played the demo of td4, you are ahead of me -- it won't run on my
system -- 200mmx w/3dfx board ...  so how can I compare?

the (td4) screen shots looked horrible to me ...

I take it you don't have a 3dfx board?

IMO, there was nothing new or fresh in the TD4 demo to make it better
than NFSIISE. The***pit view was OK but nowhere near as good as the
***pit in NFS1. I'm considering the purchase of TD4 simply from having
grown bored of playing NFSIISE. BTW, I totally agree with Joe re NFS1
being vastly superior to NFSII and NFSIISE. I've purchase all four NFS
titles, even though I swore not to buy another EA game. I also purchased
NBA Live 96, 97 and 98. Am I a sucker or what? But I digress. I wasn't
impressed enough with the TD4 demo to choose it over NFSIISE. However,
as mentioned before, I'm considering the purchase of TD4 because: 1.
I've grown bored of NFSIISE and 2. It's now available locally. (Interact
is about 2 miles from my home)
