Have you tried NFS2SE full?  It's very impressive.  Everything
in the game has been tweaked over NFS2.  It still needs some audio
tweaking (3dfx version i mean), but I like it  (Yes, NFS1 is still
better in some aspects).  TD4 has major problems that may never be
addressed

One problem remains, the almost totally non-functional replay system
because there's no fast-forward or rewind that I could find. Who is
going to watch four laps just to see that one accident that happened
on the 4th lap? I also liked the original NFS's "highlights replay"
(not to mention cops and non-circuit tracks).

But otherwise I agree it is much better than NFS2 (which you may
remember I gave a pretty bad review to on this ng).

Okay, there are some significant differences.  I was only poking fun
because the physics model/control of TD4 seems identical to NFS2.  I felt
pretty burned by purchasing NFS2 and will likewise probably not buy TD4 or
NFS2SE.  This was not a full-fledged objective critique or comparison.
No, just a sarcastic observation.  ;-)

I never played NFS2 but I've played NFS and NFS2SE.  The physics
model/control in NFS2SE/NFS is much better than in TD4.  TD4 is just
horrible.
